Good Bye, Mom!

Today was Mom's memorial service and interment at Punchbowl; it was a very busy day. It started for me with being awakened by a telemarketer at 6:45 am. I answered it because I didn't know who it might be. We were at the mortuary by 9 am. There was a very nice floral arrangement at the front where we placed Mom's photo and her ashes.

Kai was our resident techie; he loaded the slide show and made sure everything was running properly. We had the slide show running during the 1-hour long visitation before the service. Later Kai set it up near the lunch area.
The flowers are from David's father, John.

Many people liked the slide show because it had captions and they didn't have to guess what was going on. The entire show was a little over 21 minutes long, however, Curtis commented that he couldn't believe it was that long, it seemed to him to only be 5 or 6 minutes long. I guess it was entertaining enough that it didn't seem so long.
L to R: Dad, Kai, David, Ron, & Bick.

After the service we had lunch, it was catered by Ige's Lunchwagon. I had lunch with 3 of the friends I was supposed to be seeing for dinner on the night that Mom died.

Brent placed Mom's urn in the niche. David took care of Dad and DT gave the thank you speech at Mom's service. All the grandkids that were here had a task for Mom's service.
Dad watches as Brent places Mom's urn into the niche.

Happy Birthday to Grant!
