Dad Meets the PT

After lunch today Mike the physical therapist from Kaiser Home Health Care came to do an assessment of Dad. Almost immediately Dad told him he didn't need to come back and that the occupational therapist didn't need to come at all. But the process is that Mike needs to come at least until the occupational therapist comes. Mike talked to Dad, did some kinesiology tests, and watched him do some things. His assessment was that Dad's legs were very strong & he didn't need any physical therapy. Mike showed us different things Dad can do to stand up when he falls down. He also talked about other things that the occupational therapist can help with. Mike made an appointment to be back next Friday; if the occupational therapist shows up before then and Dad stays well, we can cancel Mike's appointment.

I went to pick up waterproof seat covers for the Subaru; Wet Okole is having a sale on their overstocked items. They had a set for the rear seats but not the front; I ordered them for the front. Then I went to put the rear ones on in their parking lot so that I could ask for help if needed; since it was a sale item they don't install it. Turns out this particular seat cover was a second; it was missing the slit for the latch to hold the back seat in place. So I returned it and ordered a new one. The seat covers should be here in 6 weeks; since I paid full price they will install them for me.

Xander is now sleeping on the bean bag chair. But he's a little larger than Chibi so he doesn't look as cute as she does. He kind of oozes over the sides.
