Lots of Work on the Living Room

This morning Curtis, Lori, Brent, & Shaun came over to help pack up in preparation for the flooring project in another week. Brent, Shaun, & I worked on the living room. The boys did a great job cleaning up the photos and knickknacks by the window. They got everything cleaned out so that Curtis could get to things in the side table.
Living room west wall before we started.
Doesn't look like much happened in this part of the room but there really is less here.
Living room north wall before we started.
Lots of changes here.
Living room east wall before we started.
Brent (L) & Shaun (R) cleaning and packing.
Almost everything be the window has been cleaned & packed.

Lori worked on the bookshelf by the garage door. Unfortunately I don't have a before photo; just imagine that every shelf is totally packed with stuff. I put notes on the shelves for what will go back on them when we set it back up again.
Lori is cleaning out the old shoes in the bottom cabinet.
Here it is, all done!
Some things are back temporarily. Top shelf keys; middle shelf L to R diatomaceous earth, hand sanitzer, & dead batteries; and bottom shelf L to R signs, cat medications & treats, and outgoing letter holder.

Lori put some things on the kitchen counter for us to sort through.
The stuff we needed to sort through.
All done!

Curtis took us all out for lunch  at Zippy's but I forgot to take photos of everyone's meal.

A few days ago Sam was interviewed by a reporter from the Honolulu Star-Advertiser about the Hawai'i Wildlife Center's Oahu Seabird Aid Program on the wedge-tailed shearwaters. At the time of the interview she had released 70 birds; since then she's released a handful of others. Next Monday is the last day she is working on the project; she leaves on Tuesday. It's been great having her here; hopefully we can help out again next year.

Happy Birthday to Stan, Roy, & Stacey!
