Today is my sister Susan's birthday. I took Mom to
Punchbowl to put flowers at her niche. Just after we placed the flowers, it started to drizzle. Mom said it was Sue's tears of happiness. We discovered renovations that are being done in the portion of the
columbarium where she is has been improved. There is now a sidewalk that
leads to the court that she is located in. Previously we would have to
walk through the graves in the lawn. It made it a lot easier for Mom to get around.
Earlier I took Mom to the luncheon for retirees from
Liholiho School where Mom worked as an educational assistant. She had a great time seeing a bunch of people that she no longer sees except at this luncheon. Here are a few photos of some of the people she saw today.

The luncheon was at the
Waialae Country Club; I had never been there before. On the way back from the luncheon I missed my turn so we took a different route. Here are a couple of other views of
Leahi.

Before we went to the luncheon, I took Mom for her blood test. Since
Monday was a holiday we weren't able to do it yesterday; today was quite
busy because of it. Later Dr. Chan's office called; Mom is now
scheduled for a transfusion on Thursday. I kind of guessed she would be because of all her complaints of being tired.
Happy Birthday also to Lem & Rosario!
