Tonight was the final Mālama Māhukona community meeting to gather input on what people would like to see at the renovated park. A lot of good information was gathered at the 2 earlier meetings; the 1st in November last year & the 2nd in January. Tonight was just as productive. The information will be shared with the Parks Department which is in the process of selecting a consultant to develop a proposal to begin the project. Councilmember Hustace was also at the meeting; he said $2 million has been allocated for this initial phase of the project.

It's a good thing Chris still had work he could do in & under the house today; he would have been soaked if he had to work outside. Today he started running the wiring for the lights, outlets, & water heater in the Cat Genie room.

Before Chris arrived I had noticed that rain had been blown under the door out to the deck. It looks like he mopped it up but you could see his shoes got very wet getting to the deck.
I'm really glad nearly all the new windows have been installed. They are so easy to close when the rain is coming in, but also easy to open when the weather is nice again. Last night & this morning I checked to make sure windows on the east side of the house were closed; I also closed windows on the north side since the winds usually come from the northeast.

It was a very rainy night & morning; good thing for Gage that he visited last Tuesday & not last night! He probably would have gotten soaked in his tent if he was here last night! It was very rainy until about early afternoon, then there were intermittent heavy showers for the rest of the afternoon & evening.

Roger & Dolly were wet & bedraggled. I did not see Henrietta, I'm sure she was keeping her eggs &/or chicks warm & dry.

I kept Moʻo in the garage so she wouldn't get soaked but she came out & sat in the rain while I went to close the gate when Chris left for his dental appointment about lunch time. I happened to look over at her water bowl under the calamansi tree; it was empty when I set it upright this morning but it was now full after about 5 hours of rain.

I got a little chilled from getting wet when I went to close the gate & pet Moʻo, so I made a cup of hot cocoa. I used the mug that Jessie gave me at Christmas.
For lunch today, I tried the last new Immi flavor, Creamy "Chicken". I think this is my least favorite flavor; it reminds me of chicken noodle soup which I don't like. Mom used to feed us chicken noodle soup when we were sick & I don't like being sick so I ended up not liking chicken noodle soup.
Civil Defense is warning of a Wind Advisory starting tomorrow morning. The nice thing about the advisory level winds is that they blow the vog away!
I made it up into the Promotion Zone in Duolingo! Now I just have to stay up there until around 4 p.m. on Sunday afternoon so I can move up to the Obsidian League.
While cleaning up this evening, I opened one of the cabinets & saw a centipede; it was about 3" long. I have not seen one in about a year. I am glad they are coming back; I need them to attack & eat the large American cockroaches that like to invade the house. Locally these roaches are known as B-52's because they are large (~1.5 inch long) & fly.

The eruption at Kīlauea is still paused. But scientists think an eruption is imminent; either today or tomorrow.
