I forgot to close the sewing room door again last night. I woke up to another alert from iRobot saying the Roomba was stuck. This time I found it in the sewing room closet; it apparently did not get that far yesterday. It was stuck on the other side of the threshold that the old plantation worker houses have at the doorway for internal doors. (I had Chris remove these so the house is wheelchair- & walker-friendly.) I think I came up with a possible solution to keeping the Roomba out of the sewing room & not having to remember to close the door every night. I like to keep it open; it improves the airflow throughout the house.
Hope this works! Check back tomorrow for results. |
Since the Leeward Planning Commission meetings for the month are over, & I have gotten the bulk of the sewing room cleared out, I have switched over to preparing the holiday gift boxes for family & friends. I know I have missed the USPS deadline for them to arrive by Christmas, but I had purchased everything prior to not being able to make the deadline, so I am determined to send them off. I am extending the holiday season for the recipients! In the past I used the bed in the guest bedroom as a staging area; since it is now a storage area I have had to get creative. I am using any horizontal surface in that room for staging.
Hauʻoli lā Hānau e Noel & Rae!
