Xander is Glad to Be Back Home Again

I picked Xander up from the Cat Clinic this morning. Apparently Xander would not eat much while he was being boarded so they were unable to do the blood glucose test last Friday. Not eating is not one of Xander's normal activities. And even though he "wasn't eating" according to their criteria, he did gain 0.1 pounds during the time he was there. He's now 13.86 pounds, he must have very efficient metabolism! But he was very happy to be back; he was purring & napping on the ride back.
Happy Xander!

For much of the day it was raining. In fact, there is a flash flood watch on right now for the O'ahu, Maui County, and Hawai'i Island. Besides rain there are also thunderstorms & lightning. (Good thing my laptop is not plugged in right now!) Dad is sleeping right through it. I have got one of the Solar Puff lights nearby just in case the power goes out. The cats are also sticking pretty close to me; they don't seem to like the loud noises. At times like tonight I wonder how Momo is dealing with things while he is alone.
The view in the afternoon.
The view in the evening. No lightning.
With lightning. Notice the large amount of rain coming off the roof.

On my way to drop off the carriers at Feather & Fur Animal Hospital this afternoon I was passing by Thomas Square during one of the breaks in the rain. It has been going through a renovation and has recently been reopened. It looks great!

Happy Birthday to Falken & Jillian!
