Pre-Reunion Tasks

Since Rei is only here until the last day of the Kohala Reunion, & she will be busy during those days helping me, today we focused on doing things that she wanted to do before she left. This morning she went swimming with Tomiko at Spencer Beach Park; while I made a calamansi pie. We then went to lunch in Waimea at Phô Kim An. We had lunch in Waimea because we needed to go to Kahilu Theater again; I should have picked up more of the small flyers for Tomikos's show when we were there yesterday. Boyd had okayed a space for her in the gym to put up a poster and a small table to put the flyers on so we needed more flyers.

Then we all headed to the Hamakua Macadamia Nut Company so Rei could pick up some good coffee for sister Justine & flavored macadamia nuts. I also wanted her to be able to watch the macadamia nut production video.

Tomiko & Rei check out the macadamia nut flavors.

Our final "errand" was helping with the set up of the Front Porch for the Kohala Culture & History Advisory Group's Front Porch stage for the mo'olelo that we will be presenting each day. When we were done with that we set up Tomiko's display.

Kanani works on building the Front Porch set.

The eruption at Kīlauea is still on pause. There has been no update on the potential window when the next episode will begin.
