Water for Lapakahi

While at Lapakahi today, Dane & I discussed the location for the holding tanks for the water. It makes the most sense to put them near the property line & proposed well location; it will have enough head to allow for irrigation of most areas in the park. We also talked about the possible route from the water tanks to the plantings that will be near the Visitor Center. Water at Lapakahi is no longer just a dream!

The water tanks will likely be located at upper end of old firebreak cut near property line.

According to Duolingo, I have a 92% accuracy in my papa ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi! I do feel like I know more words when I hear a phrase outside of my practice sessions on Duolingo or when I am listening to a song. I just need a larger vocabulary so I can better understand what the phrase is!

The next episode of the eruption at Kīlauea is expected to begin again some time between the 19th & the 23rd.
