Cousin Jane brought lunch today. Its been very helpful to me when people bring meals and Jane is an excellent cook; she made almost everything she brought. Jane worked as a baker and cake decorator for over 30 years and enjoys all kinds of cooking. Mom was very pleased with the visit and the food! Jane's sisters Gladys and Carole met us in Las Vegas. We spent some time recording the genealogy of her family and her 10 siblings.

Jane unloads lunch, much to Mom's delight! |

Clockwise, from lower left: shrimp wrapped in wonton, steak, namasu, nishime (in tall white cup), tossed salad, dressings, white rice, filled mochi (top to bottom: azuki an, peanut butter, & purple sweet potato), lavosh (in red-topped container), banana chiffon cake, & maki sushi. |
By the way, Tony the yard guy came by yesterday. He liked my landscape project! He said the red cinders are better than the black ones and are mined locally on O'ahu. He will be killing the grass in the rest of the area outside of the wall while I work on killing the invasive shrubs.
Tony is also helping us find a tree trimmer that can help us with lowering the height of the mango tree and pruning it properly to encourage it to fruit more. I also asked Jane about a tree trimmer, she had one work on her mango tree.
Happy Birthday to Mark & Yaneli!
