I spent about 30 minutes working out this morning. Most of it was on the rowing machine. I also did 1 lap around the outside of the building to figure out how much distance each lap covers. It turns out to be about 0.13 miles for a full lap around the building. Which is about 0.033 miles or 172 feet per side.
Around sunrise the sky was somewhat overcast. But it cleared up quickly & became sunny for the most part.

A pair of Java Sparrows (Padda oryzivora) enjoyed sitting on the fence in the sun. Both males & females look alike with their black head, white cheek patch, & gray back. Juveniles have a brownish head & a white cheek patch that is somewhat mottled as they transition into their adult colors.
I dropped by Jessie's house to let her know I would be visiting Kai beginning on Sunday. I gave her my itinerary & let her know that Alexa would be coming by every day to feed Moʻo & check on the cats. She asked me what the pink flower was on the plant in the back yard that she could see from her kitchen window. It was the dragonfruit (Selenicereus undatus)! And not the flower, but the actual fruit. The flower is white.

With the end of Episode 34, everyone anxiously awaits the next eruptive episode of Kīlauea. Based on past information, the next episode is not expected for more than a week. There was also an earthquake later in the evening; it did not affect any of our volcanoes.
Hauʻoli lā Hānau e Eleta!
