Tropical Storm Lowell is now about 460 miles north-northwesterly of Lihue & moving north-northwesterly at about 13 mph. Maximum sustained winds have decreased to about 60 mph & more weakening is anticipated over the next few days. Unless Lowell turns around & heads back to where we are this is the last I will report on its path.
There is a disturbance in the Central Pacific region south-southeasterly of us. It is slowly moving north-northwesterly & is forecast to have about a 20% chance of developing in to a tropical depression within the next 7 days.
