I got a really good photo of Roger & his flock this morning. They were near the fence as I was getting ready to leave.
It's Sunday! It's Motek breakfast day! Today's special was Shakshuka, which is also what was on the menu last week. But I am fine with that since it is the breakfast I like most. Apparently others do as well, which is why they decided to keep it on the menu to use up the extra tomatoes from last week. While at Motek I also saw Becky; the little floor protector foot of her massage stool fell off yesterday while she was working on me so she is going to come by the house tomorrow to pick it up. FYI She worked on my left hand & wrist & got some of the kinks out so it is less painful & has more range of motion. Hūlō!

The line-up now occurs inside ... & you also have to wait in line next to the display cases. |
The clerestory windows I had installed by the back porch were originally opaque fiberglass roofing in a vertical orientation. When I had the garage roof replaced, I changed it to clear fiberglass roofing to let in more light. I loved that extra dose of sunlight but over the years I became disenchanted with the corrugated fiberglass material because I could not really tell what was happening outside. So I paid extra money to have impact-resistant windows made to fit the openings & extra money for Chris to make those openings work. I am much happier now that I can see the tops of the ironwoods & be able to spot any ʻIo flying by. Once when I was outside, I saw a juvenile ʻIo land in one of the ironwoods that are visible through one of the clerestory windows; I am hoping some day I can see something like that while standing at the sink washing dishes.

The eruption at Kīlauea is still paused. Scientists are saying, "a new eruptive episode is most likely to begin in the next 1-5 days".
