Last night it sounded like there was a cow mooing right outside my bedroom window! And essentially it was. Previously the closest they could get was about 135 feet somewhat easterly of my bedroom; the sound had to make its way through or around the garage, back bedroom & bathroom before I could hear it. Now, with the new fencing, they are about 100 feet southerly & have a fairly direct line across Jessie's wide-open back yard to my bedroom window!

The 2nd Mālama Māhukona community meeting was held this morning. We are collecting more input from the community about what they would like to see to replace the old pavilion that has finally been removed. The area is also being decontaminated; there was asbestos in the old building. Here is a conceptual plan based on input gathered during the November meeting.
I am slowly working my way up in the Duolingo Amethyst League. Because of the changes they made, it takes longer to gain points & move up. It took me 20 minutes to move up 5 places. For the next 32 hours, if I can stay in the top 5, I can move up to the next level. If I remain in the top 3, I will also get extra points.
