Almost Pau!

Today was the second to the last day of the Community Contact Tracing Training. The first part of the day was Dr. Michele Bray walking us through what a call would be like; she also presented various scenarios that we developed responses for. Finally, she broke us up in to groups to brainstorm responses to common situations that contact tracers have come across in this pandemic.

Officially there was no afternoon session; unofficially Dr. Ric invited Cohort 1v2 to talk story with us. It was very interesting to hear what they have been going through. They also invited us to join their Facebook page that is specifically for graduates of this contact tracing training.

Some of us on the Zoom chat; there's another page.

I like the Facebook page that Cohort 1v2 started. It is a way for us to stay connected as we do the tracing to help support each other. They also post interesting information about new research as well as best practices from local groups.

While on Facebook, I also saw this photo. It is of a large figure on the roof of a repair business that was a couple blocks away from where I used to live. Many years ago he was holding some sort of tool; it had disappeared by the time I moved there. Itʻs nice to see that he is wearing his mask!

I forgot to mention that I got my laptop back yesterday afternoon. Once again I stopped by Kalapawai Cafe, this time I was late enough to be there for their dinner menu. I had the pork chop with collard greens; I don't remember the real name on the menu. But it was good!

Even after talking about his dyslexia, Lindsey got it wrong.

Blogspot updated the program. I donʻt like the update. It is more cumbersome to use. The only potential good thing is that there is now a button I can click on to insert a video. I haven't tried it yet so I don't know how difficult it is to use. If you are thinking, "But there's a button, how difficult can that be?" There is also now a button to insert photos; before all I had to do was drag & drop. While I can still do that; if I decide to click on the "Insert images" button, then I have to click on "Upload from computer", then click on the "Choose files" button, find the file, click on it , wait for it to download in the "Add images" box, then click on the photo to highlight it, and finally click on the "Select" button. Aue!

Hauʻoli lā hānau e Ian & Darien!
