Last Day at LCC POD

Today was my last day working at the LCC POD. I am going to miss the team of people I have been working with there. The load was really light today; 28 days ago was a holiday so no 2nd shots from the POD were scheduled for today because we did no 1st shots. Although we were open for walk-ins there were only 2 or 3 that did walk in without appointments; but that's kinda the norm around here.

Lunch today was from Highway Inn; I chose the regular option because it was Hawaiian food!

At the end of the day the team, which is now down to 8 data entry and 1 runner plus 2 leads, gathered in the back room and we had a circle air hug. I am going to miss them! But I did invite all of them to come to visit in Kohala! I hope they take me up on it. I kept one of the rocks we use to keep forms from blowing away as a memento of the time I spent working at the LCC POD.

My last route at LCC was 1.89 miles. I got a few extra steps in delivering thank you gifts to the various work teams of the POD. I did not see the Aeʻo at all today; I hope they are alright.

After dinner The Bronco Dude & The Most Excellent Cook came to drop off the RAV4; then we went to Via Gelato for dessert.

It turns out they had not had dinner before we ate dessert and the Vietnamese restaurant next to Via Gelato called Hale Vietnam Restaurant made The Bronco Dude hungry for bánh mì. But Hale Vietnam didn't have any. We checked 2 other Vietnamese restaurants within a block of Via Gelato, Broken Rice and Saigon's Restaurant. Broken Rice did not have bánh mì but Saigon's did so The Bronco Dude was able to feed his craving.

While waiting for the bánh mì order, we watched 2 apparently off-duty HPD officers providing safety services keeping cars away from a large office furniture van at an office building at the end of the block that Saigon's is on.

The Aix weather app forecast partly cloudy skies all day. It looked like they got it mostly right today. It did drizzle a little in the evening.

At 6:41 am.
Clouds over nā Koʻolau at 6:44 am.
Clouds over LCC at 7:03 am.

There were 118 new cases of COVID-19 reported today, bringing the total known cases up to 32,349. There were no new deaths reported today so the number of fatalities remains 483; currently there are 1145 cases considered to be active. The 7-day new case average on Oʻahu is 62 with a 2.0% positivity rate.
