Becoming Brave

About a month ago I was contacted by Donnie; he is one of the co-founders of the Lift Every Voice Legacy. LEVL sponsors an annual tribute to the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., along with the Communities of Color Coalition (C3). Donnie asked me to say a few words for Becoming Brave, their virtual event that will be held next Monday. I was on a Zoom call with Scott and Arwen this morning; I spoke about volunteer work I did with C3. Scott will be producing the piece and blending it in with the other recordings that they have collected for the virtual event.

I used carrot greens in my proothie this morning. I have enough carrot greens left for another one tomorrow.

I checked the KSER website for the special on Ed Bremer that I listened to on Sunday. I could not find it in their archives. Auē! I will have to see if I can get a copy of it from someone else.

I got an email from Marjorie this afternoon about the vaccine PODs; MRC is still waiting for a number of things to be confirmed. One of the big pieces is the arrival of the vaccine to be administered at the clinics.

For dinner I had chicken fajita meat with a salad topped with a hard-boiled egg. I forgot to add bacon bits; I had used up the previous bag and had not replaced it.

I forgot to do a screenshot of the Aix weather app this morning so I don't know what it was forecasting for today. The Tesla graph showed a big dip in the middle of the day and another dip in the afternoon.

There were 172 new cases of COVID-19 reported today, making the number of known cases 23,513. There were no new deaths so the death toll remains at 309; there are currently 2268 cases considered to be active. The 7-day average of new cases on Oʻahu is 137 with a positivity rate of 4.1%.

  1. Thank you for sharing, I can understand the extra stress of being in city. Rest as needed, take care of yourself. It looks like it has been raining alot in Hawaii, here too! Record rains in WA and incidently record ODs at the same time 42 OD deaths in King County same time we have had over 8" of rainfall.

The Vegetarian Waterdrop looks like 'a must do' for lunch for me when I visit (hopefully sometime soon) I loved Burger Kings Impossible Burger I have only had one time, when I was in Philadelphia.

Some of my favorite frozen meatless optione:

Boca burgers are my favorite burger burger for a go to more reasonable priced meatless burger

MorningStar vegetarian sausages are the best and I loved their Grilled Chicken though cannot find these (unbreaded) any more

Quorn has good products their Salisbury steaks are excellent

Strong Roots Pumpkin and Spinach and Quinoa Burgers are my very favorite not easy to find

Gardein Turkey Roast(marinate with soysauce and spices +) and the Meatballs are great.

    Those are my favorites.

    Have a good day!
