2nd COVID-19 Case

Last night a live press conference announced that a 2nd case of COVID-19 was confirmed here. The individual was visiting Washington state, became symptomatic 2 days before boarding a plane and flying home. The Bronco Dude was on the same plane! Since Curtis picked him up from the airport and we then met for lunch, Curtis went up to sit with Dad right after lunch while I gave The Bronco Dude a ride to his condo. We called Maunalani to let them know of our potential exposure; they are disinfecting Dad's room. They have also asked us to stay away while the assess the risk factors. Here's the info released tonight about the situation here.

Hawaii News Now has a great video of a panel of health care experts discussing protocols and taking questions. This was from a few days ago when there were no known cases of COVID-19 here.

In the meanwhile, Kai sent me these COVID-19 information links. The comments on the links are his.

If the numbers are too boring for you and you want to get a better sense of what the scientific community is concerned about, read with The Hot Zone or The Coming Plague. Or both. Both these books are from the mid-90's but are still very relevant today. FYI They are non-fiction.

Since I am not going to Maunalani until they give us the all clear, I decided to make some "bread" recipes from KetoConnect. I started with Best Keto Bread today. I liked this one!
The batter in the pan.
Fresh out of the oven.
Looks like real bread!

After dinner I decided to try the Easy Air Fryer Cookie.
I marked the diameter of the air fryer on the back of the parchment paper.
The batter has been spread to the edge of the mark.
The batter in the fryer.
The air fried cookie!
Looks like a cookie.
Split 4 ways so The Roommates can try it, too!

Hauʻoli lā Hānau to Joan, JJ, & Laurie!
