Bella Balducci's Mediterranean Cuisine

We had lunch with Bruce, Monava, & Murphy again. We were originally going to just stop in for a quick visit to see their RV (more on that later) while on our way to Gold Bar for dinner with Sheryl & Randy. But Randy woke up with a fever and sore throat so they had to cancel. I asked Monava where the best place for lunch was in Sultan and she said, "Monroe." So we went to Bella Balducci's Mediterranean Cuisine in Monroe! Monava had the Grilled Prawns, Kai had the Gyro Wrap, Murphy had the Fried Chicken Strips, and Bruce & I had a Gyro Plate. We also tried the Arnold Palmer which is iced tea and lemonade.

We were in Sultan to see Bruce & Monava's new RV that they will be traveling in by the end of the month. It is a Sprinter by Mercedes-Benz. The designers hid storage compartments in areas that are usually wasted space. In addition, Bruce & Monava have added other storage-friendly features. The RV has a lot of digital comfort controls that can be programmed.

After lunch we started the search for more pants for Kai with a trip to the St. Vincent de Paul second hand store; on Sundays it is 99 cents per clothes item. And it showed: there was only 1 pair of mens' jeans left by the time we got there.

I texted the photo above to Bruce; he sent back a photo from Goodwill. They had gone there to get some toys for Murphy, we met them there. Kai was able to find 2 pairs of black jeans that fit him. He wanted to pick up 4 or 5 pairs; he'll have to get the rest on his own.

I dropped Kai off after we finished his jeans shopping and headed back to Mary Ellen & Michael's to pick up my things and head over to Susan & Jen's house. I had picked up a watermelon and sweet corn to add to this evening's dinner which was grilled steak with grilled zucchini rounds and a tomato & mozzarella salad. Like the great dinners that Michael made, I forgot to take photos again.

After dinner Jen introduced me to another potential omiyage item: Dark Chocolate Orange Sticks from Trader Joe's. She gave me a bag to take back.
